Starting and stopping the iSCSI service
You can access your storage system over any or all of its iSCSI network interfaces. You can start or stop the iSCSI service, but if you stop the iSCSI service, Data ONTAP does not accept iSCSI connections or requests over any interface, regardless of whether the interface is enabled. Before using this feature, an iSCSI license must be installed and iSCSI must be enabled on your storage system.
Steps 
1.
From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system to display a subtree of management features.
2.
Click Configuration > Protocols > iSCSI.
3.
If the appropriate tab is not displayed, click Service.
4.
Click Start or Stop.
